I could say that I've travel quite a bit. So, I've decided to dedicate a series about the cities that I've been to and what I like about 'em....
The first in this series will be a Malaysia city, Kota Kinabalu or better known to the locals as KK. KK, formerly known as Jesselton, is the caital for the state of Sabah in East Malaysia. The city is located on the northwest coast of Borneo, facing the South China Sea.
I've only been there a few times for work, so I haven't really got a chance to fully explore it. But there’s something about that city that simply charms me. It feels both old and new at the same time. Even the temperature also seems a bit colder there. And they also have a great natural attractions, be it the sparkling azure sea with its wonderful marine life, or the majestic Mt. Kinabalu that’s easily reachable from KK.
Mt Kinabalu on a clear day viewed from the sea. When I first saw it in the morning (I’ve arrived on the barge during night time), I thought, nahh…that’s not Kinabalu..doest look tall enuff.but then….
only when u see her like this will you realise how high she is ;P
I don't have a lot of pic of the city. As i mentioned earlier, I was there on a work trip. So, didn't have much time to shoot. Perhaps I'll take my family there one day for a holiday :).
